“As politicians and white supremecy groups aim to silence, discredit and marginalise BLAK voices,

our voices get louder, we First Nations people along with allies, stand Louder, more united and proud of who we are”

Peace & Pride is about being proud of who you are, even in the face of adversity and racism, and getting through challenging times with strength, Mob and family, A First Nations ode to Paul McCartney’s “Blackbird”, P&P is a song of hope, looking towards brighter skies through strength, resilience and power. It is a show of Black excellence and a celebration of First Nations people. It is also an invitation for non-First Nations people to walk with us, to learn and live culture, and to be on the right side of the history against political and racial division. It is a song of strength for all marginalised cultures and groups, and allies alike. Pride in our First Nations culture and who we are can never be taken away.

"The song came to be lyrically asa retaliation to white supremacy marches, conflicts with First Nations people and to show our voices and pride will never dissapear, and at a time of large division through our country, with war and racism happening across the globe, its a song that I would hope if someone heard it any where in the world, through any time, it would give them hope" shared Earl Weir, frontman of the band.

Produced by Izaac Wilson and recorded at Westway studio, the band delivered the song in one Sydney Sunday, and brought to life the lyrics penned by Weir.

The rap by Yung Brother is one that can not be denied as a true call to arms of resilience, pride and a F*ck you to anyone not respecting First Nations people.
